On Wednesday 7th December all Dunstable pupils participated in the inaugural sports tournament day organised by Mrs Crookell-Slade. The students played against each other in their three houses and tactically picked their teams for each of three different sports. The girls played lacrosse, hockey and basketball and the boys played football, touch rugby and basketball. Primary pupils played football, hockey and kingball. It was great to see everyone gel and work together in their new houses. There was fantastic sportsmanship demonstrated throughout as well as fair play. The support shown to others and teamwork skills were clearly on display and that was one of the main things that shone through. The day was a resounding success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all pupils and staff despite a few cuts and bruises! We look forward to this becoming an annual fixture in the school calendar.

The results: well done to Discovery House for winning the Senior Tournament events, and well done to Endevour for winning the Priamry Tournament events and for being the overall winners.

A special mention goes to Debbie Clarke, Carmen Barnes, Alison Calder, Cameron Chattell, Darren Hayes and Damon Cantley who helped officiate the games. An additional thank you goes to all bus drivers and parents who came and supported the event.
